Unadilla Valley 64, South Kortright 49

KORTRIGHT – The Rams of South Kortright didn’t have an answer for the Storm’s Andrew Jackson and Levi Rifanburg as the two scored all but nine of Unadilla Valley’s points in the 64-49 non-league win Friday night.

Hitting the majority of his shots, Jackson racked up a season-high 35 points while Rifanburg couldn’t be contained in the paint as he put 20 on the board for the Storm.

While he may not have made an impact in the scorebook, Cameron Osborne made his presence known in another way by grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds. On the defensive end of the floor, Osborne played solid defense, limiting the Rams big men point total.

“We played outstanding defense in the first half and rebounded the ball well,” said UV’s head coach Matt Osborne.

The Storm opened an 18 point lead by the halftime break, holding the previously undefeated Rams to just single digits in the first two quarters of play after holding the Rams to single digits in each of the first two quarters.
